Oh hey, Shichitenhakki☆Shijoushuji has a B-side now

What the hell is with I’ve and their single-word English titles these days? FLOW, kicks! and now ‘scene’. The Kazuya Takase-penned number for KOTOKO’s next single’s title tells us absolutely nothing about the song (as is admittedly the norm for I’ve…), but time will tell as to what Takase and KOTOKO have in store for us with this one. My guess? Something awesome. Oh, and the single is Shichitenhakki☆Shijoushuji (七転八起☆至上主義!), new opening theme for the second season of anime series Hayate no Gotoku!.

For those looking for a sneak peek at the song (Shichitenhakki that is, you’ll have to wait for the single to hear scene), the new season of Hayate no Gotoku! premieres on TV Tokyo (and Youtube as well, most likely) September 30th. As an added bonus, in addition to the KOTOKO opening theme there’s a high chance that Kaori Utatsuki’s “Chasse” will be making its debut with the season premiere as well. Must-see (or at least must-bootleg) anime for sure!

  1. Hell yes thanks for the notice.

  2. not only the one-word phrase… I just noticed that they usually have exclamation points in their songs…. like Get my way!, Shichitenhakki Shijoushuji!, Virgin’s high!/kicks! and with the star-thingies… btw thanks for the info… I was already waiting for the opening theme change for Hayate no Gotoku and I thought it won’t come but at last, long wait will come into an end. :D

  3. I don’t mind them using English words for song titles, so long as they don’t include horribly broken engrish in the songs.

  4. Sol: But they *do* use horribly broken Engrish…

  5. Yeah, sadly, that kinda sucked.
