Eiko fans, rejoice! Not only has her official Geneon webpage been redesigned, but her makeup crew is apparently getting better at their job as well! In the new promo photo she doesn’t look a day over… 37? 41? Whatever age she actually is, she looks younger than it.
Better than the new site design and promo picture, however, is the complete (creditless) tracklisting for her upcoming ‘Perfect World’ mini-album. We now know the album will contain 7 new tracks plus 2 B-sides off her recent singles, the full list of which looks something like this:
- Perfect World
- Binaural Beat
- 春空 (Haru Sora)
- OXISOLS
- Dhobi Ghat
- 指 (Yubi)
- Sunny Place
- electric universe
- day by day
Odd choice to go with two B-sides instead of the single tracks themselves, but perhaps they’re being saved up for an upcoming full-length? One can only hope, really.
LONG HAAAAAAIR
Unexpected that the B-SIDES are put on the album *blinkblink*…
Can’t waaaait!!

WOW I like the new change. :) Go Eiko. XD
And just as I thought, Sunny Place would be included in this mini-album. If only someone has a ripped or record of Eiko’s performance on Communication Mix concert… Oh well the tracklisting looks good except that OXISOLS and electric universe were bad of a choice. They could’ve included Diorama instead… <_<

Eh, the whole album kinda gives off this happy happy joy joy feeling to me. Adding Diorama would’ve been a bad idea, cuz it’s so…depressing XD

Eiko looks REAAAAAALY pretty in that shot XD She looks like a model for a fashion magazine ^_^
I hope her upcoming mini-album will live up to her previous mini-albums. I’m loving the track titles.
And what’s a “Binaural Beat” and “Dhobi Ghat”?
By: j4games on 03/31/10

…Binaural literally means “having or relating to two ears.” Binaural hearing, along with frequency cues, lets humans and other animals determine direction of origin of sounds.
O.o That’s what Wikipedia says. There is however also “Binaural beats, auditory processing artifacts” *shrugs* (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_beats)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhobi_Ghat for Dhobi Ghat.

Wow! I’m surprised that OXISOLS and electric universe were included on the mini-album… And by the title tracks, maybe it will be some new age-style album… Anyway, I can’t wait! :DD
I do appreciate the atmosphere of her songs in her different styles (I think that “Naraku no Hana”, “Sora no Mahoroba”, “Uchuu no Hana” and “OXISOLS” are the best examples for what I’m saying…) and this make her my favorite I’ve singer!
But… Where is Wheel of Fortune, Diorama, Chikai and Super scription of data??? :O
Are they planning to release a full-lenght album? Or… a BEST album? Yeah… Eiko has notable works enough to compile a best album, and I would like that, but not yet… What I want is Eiko releasing more singles, albums AND EROGE SONGS! Someday, maybe. xD

Cover looks good … Lion King like … don’t ask <.<
Seeing as OXISOLS and electric universe are in the album, I hope the other songs have that feel that the latter brought. It's whats making me latch to Eiko more and more, I love it. :D

Perfect World Special WEB launched:
http://ive.mu/perfectworld/index.html
With credits and *with* samples…and suddenly I don’t feel as terrible not to afford this Mini-Album this month anymore. It’s a real pitty in my view if c/w tracks like electric universe and moreso OXISOLS represent (to me) the most exciting this Album has to offer thus far…Perfect World and the rest sounds pretty uninspired with the prevailing comatose pace..nothing of the likes that IMO saved Hikarinadeshiko and definitely nothing of the awe ULYSSES nor Endless Loop spotted so far. I really hope that this first impression is totally off once the Mini-Album will be released but something given how that first sample glimpse worked on Linkage and Epsilon no Fune perfectly as well…

nope.
Liking the album though it’s kind of a new thing for Eiko. Binaural Beat and Dhobi Ghat are my favorites. <3

Agreed, Binaural Beat and Dhobi Ghat are the best songs from this album by far. Dhobi Ghat especially is interesting, it’s like scheherazade 2.0, but with a totally different atmosphere. Eiko sounds much more energetic and commanding than in any other song, and I love it. And props to Binaural Beat for being so mysterious and calming. <3

No review yet? ):
fred: Really? After listening to everything, I kinda thought it was kinda like a backtrack to her older days. But then again, she has experimented a lot with OXISOLS, electric universe, Binural Beats and Dhobi Ghat (both of these being the best songs off of the album), but I think the whole relaxed aura I got kinda brought me back to her older stuff.
All in all, an actually good release. Judging from what I’ve heard from other people, I was afraid that I’d be bored to death by it (like a certain VANILLA mini-album *COUGHCOUGH*). Sunny Day is definitely the worst song though. It was just so BORING.
